Like so many couples today, Michael and Barbara Tummillo met online. Considering that’s where they both spent so much of their time, it only stands to reason. If they would have spent all their time anywhere else, they would probably have met each other there.
They actually met in a café...okay, it was really a website called “ChristianCafe.com.” Michael was encouraged to try the site when a woman in her 70s told him she had just “met a very nice man there.”
After seeing how inexpensive it was to join, Michael thought, “Hey, that’s cheaper than a live date!” Meanwhile, Barbara had kissed a few frogs on her search for Prince Charming and was enjoying the “buffer” of online relationships. After several months of striking up conversations with women all over the world (most were safely far away in places like Australia and Korea), Michael finally took the plunge and began to talk to girls in his home State of Texas.
Gulp.
“When Barbara and I first actually
met - after 180-some eMails and a few
phone calls - I felt like I was meeting a dear friend. I already knew her,” he cheerfully admits.
The couple agrees that Michael never actually proposed. Somehow, they “just knew.”
Michael said, “We met in our 40’s and we’re in our 50’s now and having the time of our lives. Thank you, Jesus... and thank you, “ChristianCafe.com!”
NOW, TELL YOUR SINGLE FRIENDS AND FAMILY!
