The 2012 Drought is here... Elijah-style.

According to a Reuters article, the USA engaged in the "worst drought in a quarter century..."

Even a torrential rain right now would simply be too late for the nation's barren fields. The corn crop is ruined. Those with stored corn and wheat will do well because they'll get MUCH higher prices when they finally sell (Thank you, Fulton!).

Anyone who understands all-things-prophetic (or even SOME things prophetic) will understand the phrase, "as it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual." As above, so below, some say. When Jesus said, "Let he who has EARS hear what the Spirit is saying," what does that mean in regard to a crop of dried-up corn scattered on the dirt throughout the nation's mid-section? How can that be translated spiritually?

Because we do reap as we have sown, has our own stiff-necked stubbornness as a nation yielded a people who simply can NOT - will not - hear what the spirit of God is saying? Not only are we unfamiliar with the Master's voice, but we are experiencing a dryness that can yield nothing but dust and wildfires. Forget about hearing His still, small voice amidst so many ear-tickling distractions.

We cannot hear His warnings to hear them.

We cannot hear the trumpet sound when it's time to assemble.

We are deaf and we are mute. Yes, even The Church.

Sure, I contend with all my heart that we can pray for, and expect, showers. Elijah was  man like us and  it worked for him! But will any amount of rain result in a harvest of juicy, living ears of golden corn?

Not this year. No, we are reaping as we've sown. God is not mocked.

To anyone running to and fro in search of a "word" from the Lord, here's one.... REPENT!

Every blessing,
