Are YOU Blameless before God?
Over a decade ago, a Christian man was accused by a woman - a street person - of something referred to as "simple assault." The accuser never got to see the judge, however; she was actually sentenced of a crime herself and wound up with 5 years in prison. Even if the case HAD gone to court, one police officer said, although her story was somewhat believable, it had one major flaw: the man she was accusing!
With so many "leaders" atop so many of the aptly-named "7 Mountains of Societal Influence" (Business, Media, Arts & Entertainment, Family, Religion, Education and Government) getting caught with their pants down, with their hands in the till, finding themselves behind bars and their reputations smeared, it might be music to our ears to hear those doing the vetting say about somebody, "We tried so hard to find something negative about him/her - some skeleton in the coset - but we couldn't." Perhaps the reason the liberal media resorted to the schoolyard antics of Mitt Romney or attacked Sarah Palin's kids was because they came up empty as they tried to dig-up dirt on her.
What does it mean to be a person who is blameless before God? It certainly doesn't mean we are perfect. No, the only perfect One died for the benefit of all the rest of us. Because He did so, we are now referred to as "the righteousness of God in Christ," (2 Cor 5:21). Our sins were as scarlet but are now white as the snow (Isaiah 1:18)!
Yes, that includes YOU.
God isn't angry with you. He loves you without condition! He has a wonderful purpose for your life that can only be accomplished when you GIVE IT TO HIM. Sure, you can hang onto it if you like... how's that workin' for ya?
Imagine living a life that God views as blameless, which allows Him to withhold no good thing. By His own grace, and by the Blood of His Son Jesus, He has made you blameless for all time!
Now THAT is good news worth shouting about!
Every blessing,
