Nobody comes out alive!

I am a firm believer DEATH is nothing more than the start of the longest part of life. It isn't the end of our existence; it's the BEGINNING.

It's no surprise, in Hebrews 2:13-15, we read, "It is true that we share the same Father with Jesus. And it is true that we share the same kind of flesh and blood because Jesus became a man like us. He died as we must die. Through His death He destroyed the power of the devil who has the power of death. Jesus did this to make us free from the fear of death. We no longer need to be chained to this fear."

As a Workplace Chaplain, serving the Employees in a nursing home environment has afforded me the privilege of speaking with quite a few Residents as they laid upon their death beds, the last human voice they heard before passing away. The auditory senses being the last sense to go, I have often leaned over and spoken into a subconscious, dying individual, assuring them they were loved, that no one would forget them, and that we would soon be there with them once we've graduated from this earth suit at our own appointed time. In most instances, they died within 12 hours after I spoke to them and pared with their families.

You see, life on planet Earth is not "it" for us; this is not our home. We ain't from 'round here! That being said, it seems a shame we cling so tightly to our earthly existence and try so hard to get comfortable while we're here.

We have a mission while there's breath in our bodies - a Great Commission, it's called. We will not experience unspeakable joy and a peace that passes all understanding UNTIL we renew our minds and focus upon doing the Father's business, building HIS Kingdom rather than our own.

NEWSFLASH: There's a real strong possibility we're all gonna die. So, don't fear death. As long as you woke up breathing this morning, pray for Divine Appointments. Expect those opportunities where you can pray, encourage, introduce others to Christ in you, the hope of glory. Trust me, in one way or another, everybody's in pain. You possess the cure for what ails them.

To anyone who's lost a loved one, I'm sorry for your loss. Please bear in mind, they are healed now, more alive than they have ever been. I am counting on you to introduce me to them one glorious day... I'm looking forward to it!

Every blessing,
